Manfrotto MB MBAG120PN overview

  • 1Description

The Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging MBAG120PN Padded Tripod Bag (Black) is a padded ballistic nylon bag designed to carry Bogen/Manfrotto tripod with a head up to 45" long. As with all soft-sided bags, an item's girth may reduce this number. Thermoform padding holds the tripod in place and protects it, especially the head, during transport. It also serves a double purpose by protecting the tripod's hard edges when it is carried. The zipper extends down the length of the bag, but also fully opens the top end of the bag. The end opening allows for faster "quiver" style extraction and insertion of the tripod. The inner pocket holds accessories (such as video head pan bars). The bag is tapered to follow the shape of the tripod and head.

The tripod legs fit comfortably in the narrower end and extra space is allowed for the larger volume of the head at the wider end. This also means it's easier to put the tripod and head in the bag, even if the head levers and knobs are fitted and jut out slightly. The bag includes a shoulder strap and an end carry handle. There is also a carry handle on the side.

  • Ballistic nylon
  • Thermoform padded Interior
  • Full length zipper
Tapered shape allows you to store the tripod with the head attached. Tripod legs fit comfortably in the narrower end and extra space is allowed for the larger volume of the head at the wider end. This also means it is easier to put the tripod and head in the bag, even if the head levers and knobs are fitted and jut out slightly
Zipper extends down the length of the bag, but also fully opens the top end of the bag, making it easier to get your tripod in and out, as well as being able to extract the tripod quickly
Thermoform padding holds the tripod in place and protects it, especially the head, during transport. It serves a double purpose by protecting the tripod's hard edges when carrying
Inner pocket holds accessories (such as video head pan bars) where they won't rattle around or get damaged
Bag is slightly tapered to provide a better fit for a tripod with the head attached. The wider end of the bag accommodates the head without requiring all levers to be removed

    Manfrotto MB MBAG120PN reviews

MBAG120PN Padded Tripod Bag is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy, functional accessory for the Pro This bag rocks since size-wise it is the biggest Manfrotto makes and in it I store the following: *Manfrotto 055XPROB Tripod *Manfrotto 808RC4 Head *Manfrotto 679 Monopod *A Top loader-style bag 1-series Canon & Lens plus spare battery *Several Pelikan Micro Cases, another 1-series battery, and cable release, reinforcing the shoulder strap a velcro attaching padded, shoulder pad, this bag looks a bit like a small golf bag, but I can manage it with another body and lens in one hand with the bag filled with the above gear over the other shoulder. All in all, a well made bag that makes it possible to carry a tripod somewhat more comfortably than either holding it on your shoulder with camera attached, or with a sling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HIGH QUALITY BAG I was reluctant to fork out alot of money for a tripod bag at first, but when this arrived i was very happy. I wasn't sure that the smaller bag would be long enough so i decided to get the largest bag they offer. This bag will protect just about any tripod i know of out there. It not only is very attractive, but is a very high quality bag. Zippers are heavy duty, but as others have stated here, are kind of tight at first but loosen up after a little use. I purchased this for my Manfrotto 475 alunminum tripod. With my 322RC2 grip attached and pointing straightup it fits great with plenty of room. Just about any head i could want would fit in this bag with my 475 tripod. The bag seems very durable and padded well. I even bought the unpadded MBAG70N for my monopods. Excellent bag worth the price that i highly recommend to anyone wanting a great bag. The money i have spent over the years on cheaper bags that tore and were of poor quality added together would have more than paid for several of these bags. Do yourself a favor and get this beautiful bag. You will love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Bag good bag for price, solid construction, zipper was hard to close at top but seems to be getting better with more use

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pricey bag but needed This bag is a replacement for my tripod. I feel Manfrotto for the money we pay for their tripods and kits they should offer a longer warranty on the bag then 1 year. The zippers were tearing apart at the head area after only 2.5 years. For $. I feel this should be much better quality. If you are like me and the bag is worn out...then you have no choice but to replace.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was a great buy I bought this bag for my Vinten tripod with a 100mm head and it works great...much better then the hard case. It makes the tripod easy to travel with on a day to day bases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for lighting stands I use this to carry my lighting stands. It is hard wearing and huge. It takes mic stands also. Very handy bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Notch For a tall heavy tripod with a big head this bag is great! It is both roomy and just the right size. Carry handles are superb (there are three sets) and the bag is extremely well made and feature rich. Opening, closing, tucking the tripod and head in is simple and effective and the protection this case offers is excellent for a soft side case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag! I had purchased the Manfrotto 420B Combi Boom Stand and haven't been able to find a bag for it until now, even though Manfrotto said it would not fit in this bag, it does! (Are you listening Manfrotto?) It fits well in there along with a couple of reflector stands.
