question
with the weight of the camera 12/15kg and the types of work used with these cameras i.e news do you feel a dual strap would be more ergonomic and support the body better while carrying equipment of this weight for extended periods?
Depends on what you mean 'extended periods'. I can carry my PMW-500 all day on this, if required. It is super comfy, and does not slip off, but I need to take it off my shoulder every 20 mins or so for a short break. Mind you, I would be shooting something every 20 mins anyhow, so it is no problem. If you have to lug the camera for days on end, on expeditions, then off course a dual strap rucksack would be better (but even bigger). I am an Ob Doc + Factuals + News guy, and so it is ideal for me. As it is padded, it also means that I can carry my ENG Tripod on my same shoulder too, and the tripod rests on the padded bit not my shoulder bones. Overall, I like it, and it has been worth the money.
