Sony's VCT-SP2BP Camcorder Shoulder Support uses a unique collapsible design to provide 3-point shoulder stabilization for just about any camcorder. I use it with a Sony PMW-200. Allows shooting in all situations with great stability: shoulder chest, close to the ground.

My use: Panasonic dvx100be. After about 10 weddings I've taken with this product is broken, cracks appeared in a product, and I use it now with reinforcement and glue around. My use of ordinary and not aggressive. Excellent idea but very bad stuff and not suitable for professional work! Cheap plastics and bad. sony did not take responsibility for the product

is there an adapter to make the back screw larger so it can double tighten to a Z280?

The camera mounting screws of the Sony VCT-SP2BP Camcorder Shoulder Support can be removed and swapped out with longer screws of the same size should you wish to swap them out.

Does this shoulder support work with a Sachtler Ace M or is it mandatory to buy the Sony Sony VCT-14 adaptor? Thank you.

This product has both standard tripod threadings along with a VCT adapter. You will be able to use this with standard quick release systems or a VCT-14 plate.

Does this shoulder support work for the PXW-Z150 camcorder? IS there a different one that you would recommend for that camcorder?

The Sony VCT-SP2BP Camcorder Shoulder Support would work well with the PXW-Z150. You might also consider these two other supports. ikan Hoverfly Lightweight Shoulder Rig B&H # IKELEHVRFLY and the CameraRibbon QR Shoulder Rig Camera Support for Panasonic, Sony, Canon B&H # CASRPAGAF1QR. I like these in that they are very simple, and your left hand is free for lens adjustments.

Does this (VCT-SP2BP) product come with the tripod mate device? A matching plate on the tripod enables quick-release attachment of this shoulder support onto the tripod. Is such tripod plate included, or must it be purchased separately?

No plate. You have to buy it separately. But this shoulder support is very useful. I use it very often.I bought a tripod plate with a V-mount too.
