    Lowepro 302 AW reviews

SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 193.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed! The LowePro 302AW SlingShot bag holds everything I need for a photo shoot that might cover several days, e.g., in a National Park. I have my camera, a small tripod, a large zoom lens, batteries, re-charger, and flash unit in there. There is still lots of room for other photo accessories and still room for personal items like bug spray, extra items of clothing, or hygiene on the trail. The bag does indeed swing around quickly so you can grab your camera in a hurry. I don't care for the waist straps. I wish they were removable. Doubtful I will ever snap the waist straps around my waist. But time might show me that I need them. We'll see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes A Great Day Pack I really like this bag. When someone decided that they needed my gear worse than I did, I got a different bag, but I soon found myself coming back to this one. This holds my camera (Nikon D7200), plus a couple of lenses, filters that I use from time to time and some of the things I use like a loop and a right angle viewer. The front compartment works great for things like holding your notebook and pens and pencils (for your photographers journal) and the top compartment works great for carrying your personal items. Then I don't have to carry the gear I don't plan on using for that day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag This is my very first Lowepro bag purchase. I'd formerly only purchased Tamrac products. I am not the least bit disappointed. I was seeking a product versatile enough that I could carry easily in urban environments, whether walking or biking with an assortment of camera gear. This product fits that purpose and is both stylish and well constructed at the same time. I have no worries about the safety and or protection of of my camera equipment in it. It was a good purchase. I also followed up and bought the Flip Side 300 because I also needed a back pack as well for my travels this summer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect camera bag with a few minor issues This camera bag is great for carrying all my camera gear. I love the one strap with the quick access to my camera. It is perfect for outdoor photography and when you are going hiking. I don't like that it is not waterproof, and there was no waterproof cover to cover it with. I was under the impression that there would be a waterproof cover included. Also, it is pretty heavy with all my camera gear, but that is to be expected considering how big it is. It does not fit my heavy duty tripod in the tripod holder on the side. I think that it must be made for light tripods only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Backpack for Camera Gear! Used every day to transport 7D camera with battery pack, 3 lenses, 2 flashes, 2 PocketWizard TT5 Transceivers, 1 PocketWizard TT1 Transmitter, various cables, memory cards, lens cleaning supplies, business cards, small tripod or monopod & rechargeable batteries for EX580 II flash units! This bag holds a lot of gear for its size! I bought it mainly for wanting a smaller pack for street photography & the likes as my larger bags were just too much to drag around in smaller locations! This fits the needed applications I need it for & it's great to be able to swing the bag around, without having to take it off, to get camera with lens attached out to take a shot! I haven't found any negatives to it yet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This camera bag is awesome Finally a bag that holds all my gear. It fit my D500 and 70-200mm, 300mm, wide angle, macro lens, teleconverter and speedlight plus miscellaneous items. It is heavy when full but I rarely take everything on a hiking outing. It is well made, comfortable enough wearing it, and offers easy and quick access to the camera. Very well padded in the camera and lens section. This bag was well thought out and my gear does not have to be jammed in to fit. Has a lot of small pockets for accessaries. Lowepro is the best and this bag replaced my Tamrac, which I did like but this Lowepro is better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too big! I am a huge fan of Lowepro bags. I loved the smaller 200AW slingshot with my Nikon D300, but needed more capacity for my larger D3. So I ordered the 302 but have been disappointed. It is very well made, well padded and reasonably priced. But when you load it with equipment, it is just too heavy and bulky to use conveniently. There is too much weight for one shoulder, and because of its size, it doesn't slide around as easily as the 200AW to work out of. I end up just setting it on the ground to work out of, and using it for storage or transport rather than as a working sling bag. Would be better off using a regular back pack style with padded waist belt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from another well-done Lowepro product I've been very satisfied with my Lowepro Inverse, but I surveyed the field carefully before buying something large enough for a 10-day overseas trip. Strictly amateur, taking DSLR, 3 lenses, flash and a lightweight tripod, plus typical acc's. This does the job well, will carry all that plus more, but it's a bit large for a typical 'day-pack.' I'll use this for major transport, but will use something smaller for daily outings. Very well engineered, excellent materials and construction, will just fit under airline seat and carry some personal items. For me, it beat out Tenba, Mountainsmith, Clik, Caselogic. Bit large to be called a sling, but it does work that way.
