    Avenger A635B reviews

Light Stand (Black, 12.6') is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The wideboy. This is a big stand. No two ways about it. I don't use the full height very often, but the base is wide enough that I can confidently use it indoors with hot shoe flash setups and medium-sized modifiers without bothering to bring sandbags, lightening my load considerably. There's no substitute for a ton of weight to secure a stand, so I still use weights when setting up a seamless, boom, big modifier, or studio strobe. And yes, it handles all of that with no trouble. I now own three of these, and on the first one, I made the mistake of tightening down one of the column locks hard enough to dent the pole. It still works well, but binds when raising and lowering the the bottom section. In hindsight, the locks work well enough that surprisingly little force is required when setting them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built - feels right. I have worked with these Avenger stands for years - that's why I ordered another pair of Maxi Kit Stands. The main thing is that this stand is light, sturdy and strong. I use these instead of C-Stand's when I need something that's light and easy to re-position on a shoot. The 635B stand is well built and feels right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good buy Needed lite stands to add to the Bogen 3333. There is no longer a good substitute. Needed the wide base and a product that will last. This is it. A bit heavier and longer but built solid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight but heavy duty enough Great stands, Great price and prefect for my litepanel 1x1 and my 2 Coolight 10x10 LEDs. I also use them with my Super9's when lighting portable green screen and a couple of 15lb sand bags. Also works great with a perch and my Boom and with the proper amount of Sand bags. These stands are great for portable work if you don't meed the super heavy duty C stands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tall and strong! I already had one Avenger A635B and was pleased with it. My 2nd light stand, a different brand air-cushioned one, just broke and so I decided to replace it with a second Avenger A635B. I film weddings and sometimes have to quickly move my equipment, so air-cushioned would not work for me. I attach flood lights and extend this stand up to over 12 feet and it does a great job covering the wedding dance floor. I use sand bags as an extra precaution. The stand is tall and strong and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again I use this stand to support a 500ws strobe and a 3'x4' soft box w/recessed grids. It is well built and i like the fact that you can raise it 12' with minimal counterbalancing. And it had a great price. It has a fairly large footprint but that is easily handled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent general purpose studio stand Lighter than dealing with c-stands and yet this stand is a great size for holding a Speedotron light head with medium softbox in the studio with a small weight/sandbag for stability. We also pack and use them on location. Far lighter than a c-stand with similar stability. Slightly less perhaps. Second time purchasing these stands. Compared with other 13 stands this one has the best build quality. We have half a dozen popular brands in the studio but this one we will buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good Light stand This is my 4th A-635B light stand, very good quality, easy to use and very stable. Good value for the money.
