Wish I had purchased this sucker years ago. Solid build quality and perfect height for middle light. Love the low profile.

Useful straight out of the box!

We put this roller to work as soon as we got it. Mount a monitor and roll away. Mount a light and work it into place without hassle. Pop in a c-stand riser and you got an extremely tall wheeled c-stand! The legs lock open for safety and close with one hand. Get one dude!

It’s a good solid short version of this light stand. I’m using this one for a monitor. I’m not familiar with a Dana dolly and can’t offer advice on that.

question

How low will this allow a soft box to go? I need something to hold my soft box down low on the ground for newborn photography.
Asked by: Teri R.
If you attach a Gobo arm to the stand it would be easy to get your softbox low and still manage to use the rolling facility of this stand. I reccomend counter balance weights which don't inhibit mobility as much as a sandbag might.

question

For those using this as a tethering stand, what adapter are you using to mount your case/table?
Asked by: Jessica
To answer my own question (for others that might be wondering), I ended up buying the Manfrotto 1 1/8 (28mm) Male Adapter . With a couple modifications (two 3/8 nuts and a wide washer) I was able to mount my SKB laptop case perfectly!

question

Is this stand sturdy enough to safely accommodate the Westcott Apollo 50 with the Einstein Strobe? I will be using it primarily for newborn photography and I like that it's low enough to get the Apollo to the floor but it still rolls.
Asked by: Melissa
Hi Melissa N., This stand is very substantial and sturdy. The extra metal makes it a little heavier than others I have purchased and is a bit less portable for that reason. I load it up in my Prius OK with other stands and lighting strobes. I use it to hold a laptop table for shooting tethered. I don't see any issue with holding heavy strobe lights. I use Profoto D1 and B1 strobes and I think Einstein's are similar. The wide spread of the legs helps make this very stable. I think it should work well for a low stand. I liked the low height to make it convenient for the laptop table. Hope this helps.
