    Avenger A5034 reviews

Roller Stand 34 with Folding Base (Chrome-plated/Black, 11') is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product! I've used a Manfrotto 420B Combi-Boom Stand for many years and it has been great, but I needed something more heavy duty. I bought this Avenger Stand along with the Avenger D600 Mini-boom, and the combo is outstanding. The reach, stability, ease of movement, and strength couldn't be better. I also purchased a drop down pin which remedies some of the problems I had with the Manfrotto 420B. I did a lot of research prior to this purchase, going back and forth between Avenger and Matthews. I'm thrilled with the quality of this stand, and would buy it again. The only thing I would change is the addition of air-dampening for safer lowering. I haven't pinched any fingers yet, but I'm certain I will. ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Perfect This stand is already raised to 9 feet in my studio with almost 20 pounds on top and is solid as a rock. We all hear about the built quality of Avengers but we don't believe till we see it with our own eyes. I use it with the same Avenger mini boom and there is absolutely no need for weight. The mini boom rose to a moderate length and I already had my 15 pound weight ready to attach but there is no need for it at least till I need to raise it more. Its pricy but when you are in situation need to hang your precious light and 5' modifier you don't have to hold up your breath for as long as you are in this business. Your clients won't notice how much you have paid for this and don't even care but this stand will make you proud just by owning it. It won't disappoint you, trust me on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent stand The stand is quite solid and with a large footprint. I bought it to support an avenger mini boom and the combination is rock solid. Make sure to buy the junior to baby pin for it, you will use it eventually. I found that the g100 sandbags work perfectly on the legs if you put a 2x2 on the leg to raise the bag off the floor. This stand is well suited for heavy light/modifier setups. The beefiness of avenger junior stands is incredible. I bought a couple of a5012 lowboys after using ths stand to support large softboxes in a small work area. The 5012 has a much smaller footprint, which I like for supporting key/fill lights in my small workspace. This base, combined with its height, makes it great for a boom orlight you need to raise up high. This stand is simply awesome at any price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of the Best! so I have been using Avenger stands exclusively for years and recently replaced to of my mathews rollers for 2 of these avenger rollers. I always know what to expect from Avenger stands and like they say...you get what you pay for. These are really thick, extremely sturdy and just top notch overall. I always buy the very best rollers for my studio so that they last nearly forever and these are no exception to that. Make sure you have the space for these though, they may be larger than you think. I use these as backlight stands, which is way overkill but I never have to worry about tipping or collapsing under the weight of a strobe extended on an arm from the grip head I attached to these. The base is large and sturdy and easily allows sandbags to be supported on the legs. They also have a retractable 5/8 pin although I use the avenger adapter pins (Avenger E200 Stand Adapter) to mount lights on. You can get them separately from b&h here for about 16.00 each. Also you may not want these as your location/portable setup although I take mine on location from time to time. They are really heavy and not really meant to be carted around. I would use something with a tad less weight for location work. I keep these mainly as extra studio rollers. I would expect to have these way past my retirement from this business! If you want the very best heavy duty stands you can get for mono-lights, strobes or continuous lighting then look no further. These are seriously pro!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tank I use the product primarily with the Mini Boom and they work really well together. It was not easy to decided to spend this much money on a stand but it will easily last a lifetime or two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great wheeled light stand For moving softboxes expecially with a boom and sandbag, this one can' be beat. I use it for a large beauty dish on a boom with a sandbag and it moves around the studio with no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as it gets Purchased for durability reasons, on location photography, this stand travels with me and needs to take a beating, which it does!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty Support This is a heavy duty pro level roller stand for studio use. Good workmanship and durability. This will hold just about any light unit you own up to and including a Mole 4K softlight. Don't plan on taking this on location unless you have an assistant or a movie grip truck to transport it.
