With a WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio the 826W is a perfect match for today's widescreen laptop and desktop displays. It can sync with dozens of PC and Mac display resolutions.

But of course it can handle computer signals. It projects 720p, 10801 and 1080p high definition signal. It also accepts and projects NTSC, PAL and SECAM signals. Its auto-switching 100 – 240 V 50/60 Hz adds to its international credentials. And to make sure you communicate with your entire audience the 826W can display closed captioning from programming sources that provide CC.

The heart of the 826W, however, is the bright and high contrast Epson 3LCD projector panel. 3LCD delivers clear and vibrant images so true to life you may not believe your eyes.

All of these features help make the 826W a master communicator. But they tell just part of the story.

This project has two USB ports. You use the Type A port to attach a USB memory device like flash drive or digital camera for PC-free presentations. Meanwhile, you can also use the Type B port for that but its special trick is letting you connect to your computer to use the remote as a wireless mouse with a choice of three pointer shapes.

But the 826W's communications capabilities don't end there. It's got an RJ45 (Ethernet) jack so you can put it on your LAN and project from any PC on your network. The 826W can talk back too. It can send out emails for various events like letting you know the bulb is nearing the end of its useful life. What's more, you can send messages to all of the 826Ws on your network. This is ideal when you need to send schedule information, weather updates, emergency alerts and the like.

All of that networking goodness can also be done wirelessly with an optional Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g module. There's one specifically designed to fit into a port on the projector.

If you need to project on the run you'll appreciate two last specs of the 826W. It weighs only seven pounds and it ships with its own carrying case.
