    Audio-Technica AT8202 reviews

    AT8202 In-Line Attenuator is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very handy gadget I ordered a pair of these to hook up to a set of balanced inputs on my pre-amp. My DAC has unusually hot balanced output, so I wanted to use the attenuators to put my listening range more toward the center of the pre-amp's volume control, to be able to control volume more precisely. The attenuators work exactly as desired, with no perceptible signal degradation, and having a choice of three easily switchable attenuation levels was ideal for my purposes, since I wasn't sure exactly how much I'd need. Nothing negative to say about the attenuators, and B&H's service was smooth and efficient, with no surprises.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and clean Lower range of variable attenuator, perfect for tweaking a hot condensor mic input to an H4n. Solid metal body, switch feels like good quality to last and survive getting bounced around during sessions. Resulting signal clear of any side effects. Quick in-stock shipping from B&H great help in last minute integration of new equupment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little product Often times the output of my mic preamp is too hot for my AD converters. Placing the AT8202 after the pre and before the converter keeps the signal from overloading without effecting the sound. Also useful between the microphone and preamp when tracking very loud sources with sensitive mics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from must-have for event shooters I got this to use at events with my zoom h4n and it works fantastic. the signal coming into in from the many poorly setup soundboards is always super hot and this helps make it manageable. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Attenuator We use this to pad down line feeds when shooting event video with external recording devices. The 3db options (-10, -20, -30) are fantastic and convenient. Great sound and reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! I. Ought this to go between my Zoom H4n and DJ consoles when I shoot weddings, it does a great job at taking down the signal to a manageable level

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great This AT8202 Attenuator works well and does wonders for your preamps. It allows you to push your preamps harder, thus getting a better tone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like it suppose to. I am a drummer that uses a wired headset (Crown CM 311). The problem with headsets are that you can't back off of the mike for softer vocals. I attach the AT8202 to the output of the mike that is hooked on to my belt. When I sing lead, I set the attenuator to 10 db. When I go to background vocals I switch the attenuator to 20 or 30 dbs depending on the song and it allows me to sing at the volume that feels comfortable without my background vocal being to long in the mix.
