question
If I want to mount my 5D on a car for very stable shots, would you recommend this product? Or something with more suction cups?
This device should be more than equal to the task. It is rated for over 26 lbs. With most lenses a 5D weighs in at no more than 5-7 lbs. Matthews products have been used in feature films for years. They are engineered to be reliable.

question
I want to mount a gimbal head on the base of this item. The specific gimbal expects a standard 3/8 in post. Will that work?
Yes, you can mount a 3/8 item on this 1/4 mount if you use a bushing like this:Oben 3/8 -16 to 1/4 -20 Reducer Bushing B&H # OB1039. Whenever using suction devices, always do what the pros do and apply a safety rope to the camera so damage is minimized if the suction breaks for any reason.

question
Hello is there any articulated arm that I could attach to this device to have better flexibility on camera position?
We do not carry a articulated arm that would attach to the BH 20. The camera weight need to be over center for the ball head to work correctly.
