More DetailsThis ball head will support up to 39.6 lb (18 kg). It is supplied with a precision machined quick release plate that is well balanced and allows quick, safe and positive-locking of the camera to the ball head mount. The mounting plate can stay permanently attached to the camera to avoid taking the time to screw the camera onto the ball or screwing the ball onto the camera.
Note: When using the Matthews Ball Head Camera Mount on a moving vehicle, be certain the system is well stabilized and supported. Make sure smooth mounting surfaces are clean and as free of dust as possible to insure it grips firmly.

I just got a Matthews BH-30 Suction cup mount. 10"
I just got a Matthews BH-30 Suction cup mount. 10". How do I rease the suction?
When working with the Matthews BH-30 Ball Head with 10" (25cm) Suction Cup Mount, look at the rubber edge of the suction cup. There should be a small release tab/lip on the perimeter of the cup. Gently pull that tab to let air in under the cup, and that will release it.

question
Any experience using this particular mount in the winter, should I even dare use a car mount in the cold?
The cup is ratted from 10 degrees to 120 moisture can reduce the slip resistance of the cup. The red-line indicator may not perform reliably at elevations over 5,000'.

question
I see this is described as being 10 . That sounds like the suction cup is the size of a dinner plate which is very large for my purpose to hold a go pro. Is there one that is considerably smaller but same manufacturer, etc? Thank you.
You would be better served with a 427015 6 pump cup with BH-20

question
How do you connect a go pro to this?
The BH30 has a removable top plate and you can screw into any of the go pro mounts with a 1/4-20 female receiver.
