Pelican 1450 Reviews

Great case

Was looking for a case for my Hasselblad X system. Will work as a carry on and appears to be of quality construction.

This is a great case, but you need to be careful sizing.

Great case. Well made. Absolutely no issues . Notwithstanding, you must aware that the sizing of the interior is six inches and not more. So, if you have a camera with a grip even if smaller than six inches high, the total interior includes the bottom padding. I have a SONY A6100 with grip and it was too tall although it was less than five inches tall . So be aware of this. Otherwise, this is a great product . I have five of them.

Hi there! Will the Ronin S gimbal fit in this case? Thanks!
Asked by: Dustin
No, The specs I looked up on B&H showed the Ronin S gimbal to be 23 inches long which is way to big for this case, which is just 14 inches across.

I have been reading the reviews on this case and have noticed that there are a few reviews on the 1450 with dividers. My question is, how have some of you configured the dividers? I would be putting in a NIKON D90 with a 18-105 lens attached, an air blower, a NIKON 85mm lens and a sekonic studio light meter. Suggestion. I want the camera to sit in the landscape position snug but not very tight. Your thoughts and suggestions?
Asked by: Harvey
You could store the Nikon D90 with the 18-105mm attached in the portion of the insert where the long dividers turn at a right angle, with the Nikon 85mm in front. The Sekonic meter and air blower can be placed in the space above and below the 18-105mm lens.

Has anyone found that the latches on this case seem tighter then on other Pelican cases?
Asked by: Harvey
The latches are loosening a bit. Better. Still tight, but that is assuring a I know that the unit is staying air, dust and watertight.

question

Is there enough room for a Nikon D810 and 14-24mm, 24-70mm, & 70-200mm lens?
Asked by: Napoleon F.
You could fit the D810 body and one lens in this case with little effort. I have a 5D and 24-70mm nestled in mine. Fitting two additional lenses in would be a bit of a magic trick, however.

The cut out area of the foam is too small. If you remove the foam it'll fit. The Nanuk 923 is a better choice. https://bhpho.to/3mnQxUb

The Pelican 1455 Padded Divider Set will not accommodate a Sony A6100 with a battery grip attached.
