question
I worry about the solidity of using only one of the strap clips on my Fuji X-T2 with this strap for the unison loop -- is this method completely solid and dependable?
I cant speak for the Fuji, but I have had mine for 8 months and it has been very solid with my Nikon D850 with heavy telephoto glass.

question
Does the strap come with the uniloop system connectors or do they have to be purchased separately?
It does come with one set of connectors, though I would recommend purchasing a second pair for additional equipment.

question
what size for a 5'9 man?
The standard length should work, unless the person is stout in build...Either size should work, but since the XL size (25 -36 } covers a greater adjustment range (vs. 26.5 -31 ), I chose the XL...This is a great strap and you can wear it as a sling or around the neck...It is well made and very comfortable either way. I have an Olympus E-3 with heavy lens and am completely satisfied.Hope this helps!John

question
how wide is the shoulder-strap area?
sorry I'm late !! the shoulder Pad is maybe 2 1/2 inches - but ket me tell you this system is just the best thing i have tried - I use this strap on my 5d Mark iii and also on my 1d mark iv which is the full bodied heavy pro - also I have carried that with a 300 mm prime no problem - i do use two attachment point with bigger lens etc... - also note you do not have to let the camera hang all the way down as shown - you can adjust the Stops to hold the camera up in the center of your chest too - handy when moving thru a crowd or getting on a bus - things like that -- highly recommend this strp and their chest harness is cool too (I like the non strech vers) you just clip from the shoulder strap and clip into the chest strap - works super at sports or concerts
