The Nebtek SolarHD 7S 1000 NIT LED Backlight Outdoor Monitor (7") is a widescreen HD/SDI monitor equipped with 1000 NIT white LED backlit panel that enables you to view the screen under direct sunlight. It supports HD/SDI input signals and video inputs YPbPr SDI/HD in and out using BNC connectors. The unit is equipped with features like CEV (Color Exposure View), blue only, peaking filter, and underscan with horizontal and vertical image flip. In addition to offering both 4:3 standard and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratios, the SolarHD 7S monitor supports a maximum resolution of 800 x 480 at 1.2 MP and comes with features such as zoom, pixel, and anamorphic display modes.
CEV allows for a visual look at exposure in the frame. The IRE rating for normal exposure is 56 IRE and this is shown as pink in the frame. Similarly an overexposed frame of a rating above 101 IRE will be shown in red or yellow on the SolarHD 7S monitor if the image is too bright, and under exposed areas will be shown as blue to dark blue depending on the IRE rating.
Peaking filter enhances the sharpness of video images. In blue only mode, the blue pixels of a display render the picture on the screen, and areas with blue in it appear bright, while those without blue appear dark or black. The underscan mode of the SolarHD 7S 7" monitor displays the full video frame, which reveals content on the edges that is recorded but not shown on the LCD screen.
The SolarHD 7S monitor has a high contrast ratio of 400:1, which supports a high picture resolution, and at full brightness, the monitor consumes a maximum of 13.68 W. The SolarHD 7S is lightweight at 2.2 lbs and is powered by a 10 to 30 VDC battery. The monitor contains buttons in front to adjust contrast, color, brightness, and tint.
