I am using a canon are six mirror, less body with a sigma 150 to 600 mm contemporary lens. Will this work with that combination?
The Canon Extender EF 1.4X III is incompatible with the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens for Canon EF. Instead, use the Sigma TC-1401 1.4x Teleconverter for Canon EF. This teleconverter is compatible with Canon R series mirrorless cameras when using the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/43dSTYD.

will this extender work with a Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2?
I'm sorry, no, Canon converters only work with Canon L series pro lenses, like the 70-200 and 100-400. Tamron makes a converter that would work. You can click on the link below to view:

will this work on Canon R 7 with ef-r adapter ...
will this work on Canon R 7 with ef-r adapter with ef lenses?
If you use a Canon teleconverter on a Canon lens with a Canon camera, it should work. However, it works according to the"rules of teeconverters" which means that most cameras will not autofous if the aperture goes above an F8. When you use a 1.4 extender, you lose 1 stop on the lens. If the higher aperture was a 5.6, 1 stop would take it to an f8 and you'd still be ok. But if the lens was already an f8 or slower, you'd lose autofocus.
The other thing to worry about is that not all lenses will physically fit on a teleconverter. That protruding section (I like to call it a nose) might impact the back of the lens which is not a good thing. So, you have to check if the particular EF lens is compatable with the teleconverter. If it is, the EOS R adapter will let you mount it on the camera.
