My manual for AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED lens says the rear lens cover is LF-1. Is the LF-4 a substitute?
Nikon replaced the original rear lens cap provided with their F mount lenses with the Nikon LF-4 Rear Lens Cap. You can attach the rear cap to any of your Nikon F-mount lenses including the Nikon AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED Lens.
