The Acratech Extended Universal L Bracket is a practical alternative to dedicated 'L' brackets. Its design allows the weight of the camera to stay centered over the tripod during vertical or portrait shots and it attaches to your camera with an "Arca" type clamp so it is quickly removed for hand held shots. The position of the quick release clamp on the 'L' bracket is adjustable, so you have plenty of room for wires and accessories.

Yes , the universal bracket will work with both if they both have an Arca style plate. This is the beauty of using this bracket, it allows you to move it between cameras with ease. It will fit on most cameras that have an Arca style plate, so there is not need to upgrade. Will this also work with SLR's like Nikon's old FM2n and F100? What about a Leica M6? All these are 1/4" screw mount tripod sockets. Will it mate to a Really Right Stuff ball head?

It will work with any camera fitted with an Arca Swiss plate and any ballhead with a Arca Swiss style quick release clamp.

You will need an Arca style plate alone with this bracket. I was trying to see if the standard Universal L Bracket would work but it is hard to tell from the photos and specs on the internet if the length of the arm is long enough. The pictures of the camera on the B & H Website doesn't show the tripod mount on the bottom. It appears to have a cover on the bottom.
