Several benefits....blocks out the light better, more comfortable for eyeglass wearers, fewer chances of scratching your eyeglasses, glasses stay cleaner and you don't fog up your LCD with your breath when its brutally cold outside...Have em on all my camera bodies...

question
I own the Nikon D300s. #1 will this fit the D300s? The d300s comes with the Nikon DK-23 rubber eyecup and it will have to be removed to install the HoodEYE but is the HoodEye an exact fit like the DK-23- I realize the rubber part is different between the two but my concern is the plastic piece that slides onto the camera's viewfinder. Some reviews have me wondering whether it will be too loose or some say that it VERY hard to remove once installed. I also use my D300s to shoot video while on a 15mm rod rig and I use another type viewfinder that attaches to the LCD of the camera, so I need something that will fit correctly/fairly tight but not that will be a hassle to remove when needed to. Thanks in advance for your time and response.
The Hoodman Glasses HoodEYE eyecup will fit the D300s so long as you use the HoodEYE piece that is compatible with the D300, which you can view here: http://bhpho.to/1d28knQ. The Hoodman Glasses HoodEYE eyecup is an exact fit with a self-locking mount, but you should not have any difficulty removing the eyepiece when you choose to.
