Lomography DigitaLIZA 120 Scanning Mask
Key Features
  • For Medium Format Scanning
  • For Flatbed Scanners with Backlight
  • Holds 120 Negatives Flat & in Place
  • Allows Scanning of Full Negative Strip
The Lomography DigitaLIZA 120 Scanning Mask holds your 120 medium-format negatives flat and in place so you can properly scan them with a standard flatbed scanner with a backlight/transparency unit.

Unlike other scanning masks, the DigitaLIZA accommodates the digitization of experimental analog photographs by scanning the whole negative strip without defining the frames individually. This lets you scan overlapping exposures, doubles, triples, and panoramas.

question

I usually cut 6x7 film into strips of 3 (with 1 extra frame at the end), but this will not fit in some holders if they are not open on one end for the film to extend out. Will this holder allow for a film strip that is wider than the holder without pinching/creasing it?
Asked by: Joshua
No, this Lomography DigitaLIZA 120 Scanning Mask only has a scanning area of: 7.2 x 2.3 inches (184 x 58mm). While it does not define the frames individually, so you can scan overlapping exposures, doubles, triples, and panoramas. It does not allow anything larger than the given scanning area.

Compatible with 116 negatives?
Asked by: John
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the Lomography DigitaLIZA 120 Scanning Mask will work with the (now discontinued) 116 film format. The Lomography DigitaLIZA 120 Scanning Mask is designed for use with 120 film, which is 60mm wide, whereas 116 film is 70mm wide. Due to the larger size of the 116 film, we cannot guarantee the Lomography DigitaLIZA 120 Scanning Mask will work with this film stock, and your results may vary.

I've never tried this but width of the opening is 6cm, so I would expect you would be fine. Sorry for the imprecision. I would vote yes, but with low confidence level.
