Universal Bounce Diffuser is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 157.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact, easy to put on, works well This is a pretty simply little diffuser--nothing to write home about, per se. The ingenious thing about it is the way that you mount it on your flash. It has a stretchy waistband-like collar that you pull over the top of your flash. I found that as long as I had access to both hands (like when my camera was hanging from my neck) I could pull the thing on and off with impunity. One other nice touch is that the other side of the diffuser--the one you can't see in the main product shot--is black and blocks light. So if you want a little less light coming out the front, you can angle your flash up and rotate the diffuser 180 degrees. I was very pleased with the shots I recently took with it on a darkened dance floor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and compact This diffuser was purchased to be used with the Sunpack PZ42X flash. This diffuser is of soft, cloth construction with a reflective surface on the top and transluscent on the other surfaces. It secures to the flash with an elastic band collar, so can be used with differnt flashes. So far it works fine in producing good flash exposures, although I have no basis of comparing with other diffusers. It has been used outdoors, at night to focus the flash on the object being photographed. Being cloth, it folds up flat and small so is convenient for travel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good little low-tech solution This is a small, easy to store diffuser. The back side is reflective to keep all of the light going up or forward. Easy to put on - easy to remove - good little gadget to throw into your computer bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, easy, effective product. I like this diffuser because I wanted to pick something that was simple and easy and inexpensive, but effective. Really, why pay a lot for something that is simply softening and broadening your flash? I use this to soften the flash in a series of portraits shot with a Hasselblad. With this diffuser on the flash, mounted on a bracket above the camera, with the flash head set at a 45-degree angle, I have nice, soft, unobtrusive light that serves well in areas where ISO 400 film is too slow without flash, and higher speed would add too much grain in the detail. I balance with existing light to get an aesthetic that doesn't call to harsh, attentive flash that you'd expect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Soft Bank In My Pocket This is a great little modifier for compact flash units like the Canon 270EX, the Nikon SB400 and the Sunpak RD2000. It will even add a great softbox-like quality to midsize flashes like the Canon 430EX II, but I prefer something with a little more surface area for a big gun like the 580EXII. Still, it is a great performer for any flash you might use with a Micro Four Thirds system while still retaining the compact form factor. Build quality is very nice, not like a Lumiquest modifiers, which are vinyl and prone to split. Snugs on to the flash with elastic, no velcro tabs or other connectors to mess with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple with good build quality Others have mentioned that it's difficult to pull into a flash. I actually like that about it because there's no danger of it falling off or coming off unless you pull it off or it gets snagged. I use it with my YN-560. It's obviously not going to replace an octobox but you couldn't ask for a better diffuser in a package this small, sturdy and simple.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Diffuser, if close up I bought this with the Olympus FL-600R. It works as a decent diffuser; however, it seems to only work well for subject that are relatively close. This could be use error on my part, but it seems a little limiting with respect to overall light output.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for those on the go quick fixes I use it to soften me flash for portraits and events. It's great because it folds flat so you can sneak it into your camera bag or even your back pocket to have on hand. Weighs next to nothing so you don't have to worry about adding anymore weight to your camera bag or anything. The only downfall would be the elastic on it. It can be hard to get it on your flash. I have no problem with it being difficult to get on since it will be harder for it to come off by itself. But it may not fit all flash brands....
