The dedicated Vello HN-3 Lens Hood (52mm Screw-On) is specifically designed for use with Nikon's 35mm f/1.4 AI-S, 35mm f/2/2.8, 55mm f/2.8/3.5 Micro & 35-80mm lenses. It is primarily used to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of it. A dedicated hood is crafted to perfectly suit the specific focal length of the lens it is designed for. Additionally, this hood features a non-glare matte finish on the interior surface to further prevent or limit lens flare. Also, since the end of the lens is extended, you get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact.

Could This Vello HN-3 52mm Screw On Lens Hood Be Used On The Lens Of The Kodak Pix Pro AZ 528 Digital Camera?
The Vello HN-3 Dedicated Lens Hood (52mm Screw-On) will physically mount to the Kodak PIXPRO AZ528 Digital Camera (Black) (BH# KOAZ528BK); however, it will not have enough coverage when the lens is at its longer telephoto settings, and it may even vignette when the lens is set to the wider focal length settings.

Will this lens hood work with a Nikon 50mm f1.2 AIs?
The HN-3 will attach to the 50/1.2, but it is the designated hood for the 35/1.4 & 35/2. Nikon lists proper hoods for the 50/1.2 as either the HS-12 or the HR-2.

Hello, Marc. I have only used this hood with the AF NIKKOR 35 mm f/2.0D. On that lens, I haven't experienced any vignetting, and I imagine it would offer a similar result on the Voiglander lens. If anyone else has direct experience with this hood on the Voigtlander lens in question, I am sure your comments would be appreciated.
