Bolt VM-110 LED Macro Ring Light
Key Features
  • Guide No. of 15' / 4.57m at ISO 100
  • Continuous Light Source
  • Four Clip-On Diffusers
  • Adjustable Brightness and Light Settings
The Bolt VM-110 LED Macro Ring Light is a compact LED ring light that is ideal for use when photographing close-up subject matter. It features a 48 LED array and has an effective working distance of 4.9' / 1.49m with a guide number of 15' / 4.57m (ISO 100). The continuous light source helps you easily see the effects of the lighting and also enables its use when recording video. Four clip-on diffusers are included to further adjust the quality of light from the ring light: clear, frosted, amber, and blue. The brightness can also be modified, from -1.5 to + 1.5EV, and you can set the light to illuminate from only the left or right side for added dimensionality when shooting. Additionally, to help conserve battery power, the light can be set to work in flash mode, which will turn on the light for approximately a half second each time the shutter is released.

question

Does this product support a specific brand, such as Canon, or any camera with a hot shoe? Thanks.
Asked by: Anonymous
Being that this is a continuous light, and not a flash/strobe TTL is of no issue here. TTL only pertains to flashes and strobes. Using this device would be essentially the same as working under any other natural light source such as the sun or a lamp etc. You can set your camera to program modes or manual modes to expose with whichever you prefer and it will render great results. The only cameras the device would not be able mount the base to are the Sony Alpha and older Minolta cameras with the special Sony/Minolta shoe.

question

Is this compatible with fuji x-t10?
Asked by: Joshua S.
Yes, this is compatible with the Fuji X-T10 but still depends on the lens that you use. It will include 8 x Adapter Rings (49, 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, and 77mm).

question

Do you have the Minolta/Sony adapter for this ringlight? Will it just slide into the Sony A99 accessory shoe?
Asked by: Anonymous
No adapter is required if you are using the Sony A99 which features the new Sony Multi-Interface shoe (which is different from the older special Sony/Minolta shoe). The flash will slide right onto the Sony A99s shoe. If you have an older Minolta/Sony camera with their special shoe, you would need the following adapter:http://bhpho.to/108mxYG

question

Could this be used with a Lensbaby Scout fisheye? Or a Lensbaby Composer?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Lensbaby Scout fisheye does not have any filter threads plus it is too wide. There is nothing to attach the ring flash to and it will vignette on that lens. The Lens baby composer has a filter thread of 37mm so you can with a step up ring use the flash. The step up ring is, http://bhpho.to/1cvm3Ir*note the weight of the ring flash will be on the lens so it will be tough to keep the Lensbaby composer in position.

Are there any 82mm Adaptor Ring to use for the Canon 24-70mm lens?
Asked by: Alex
The kit I have does not have an 82mm ring. The Bolt VM-110 isn't quite that big. I like the unit, it has served me well. You can't expect to much from it but for occasional close up work, it gets the job done for a very low cost!
