question

can you also use this for general dry mounting tissue straight cutting?
Asked by: Dan O.
Jay K. responded no , but I can't see why it wouldn't. With a sharp enough blade in the straight cutter the edge would act like any other straight edge. As with mat board, I would use the slip board underneath for the best chance at a good cut. You might try overlaying a thin veneer material to hold the material in place as well. Also, I have been cutting 8 ply mat board easily with ease on this tool. I soon learned to forget using the sliding cutting guide. It's ability to square with precision is useless - accurately measure and mark, then align with the the cutter bar works every time.
