Rycote's Micro Windjammers bring the same level of wind protection to your compact camera, DSLR--or even your cellphone--that their larger counterparts have been bringing to professional audio for years. Just because you're using a camera's built-in microphone doesn't mean you have to record every breeze or gust of wind on your soundtrack. These furry little creatures stick easily onto your camera's mic holes, helping your audio sound just as clean as your video looks.

Reduce wind noise on your videos with these easy-to-fit Micro Windjammers.
Protect integrated microphones found on HDSLR cameras, HD camcorders and compact cameras.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A excellent mouse toupee... ... and a nice little wind cover for your HDSLR's built-in microphone. I have these on all my HDSLR bodies and they work quite well. They're an interesting conversation starter, too. Especially when you stick one on your face. Gosh, you might want to have that looked at.... I used scissors to cut mine down to a little smaller diameter and they fit the camera much better. I also gave mine a bit of a haircut to make the fur's length less asymmetrical. A mohawk looks nice...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh Bought it for the S95 as per the B&H 'recommended accessories' b/c I understand the issue of wind noise on this little camera mics when taking video. I think highly of Rycote and was suprised (taken aback really) that the fit was not great and the quality of the 'fuzz' is also not so great (it sheds a lot which is not so great so close to the S95 lens) and so I had to get another brand which would also be my recommendation to anyone who asks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Vlogging I bought these to put on my Sony RX100 V. I feel that even though they are called Micro, they could still be a bit smaller. With how small the microphones are on point & shoot cameras as well as DSLRs, I don't think it would hurt for these little fur balls to have just a tiny bit smaller of a footprint. If you are looking to clean up your audio (especially for vloggers). This is the best thing you could possibly do for your camera. Nobody likes hearing wind noise, don't be a victim to mother nature. I am still giving these 5 stars as they are perfect at reducing wind noise and don exactly what they said they would do.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well. I ordered 2 of these not realizing that they had multiple in the package. I use this product on my contour2+. The product is easy to use and simple to install. It works well in low wind situations on a boat out on the Chaesepeak Bay. I have not been able to use it in high winds yet. I used a piece of foam on my last camera which worked really well. The way they work is different. These windjammers are like surrounding the mic with fur or hair. As I said I haven't been able to test in high wind so I am not sure which works best yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not worth the money, poor quality Fuzz falling apart as soon as I opened package. Poor quality. I expect it to fall apart and blow away in the wind. Asked to return, but haven't gotten RMA yet. Totally dissatisfied with this product and service at this point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works very well on my Canon 5D MKII! Successfully eliminated annoying wind noise on my Canon 5D MKII. I feel confident on camera mic's sound now. Must have item if you shoot video on 5D MKII.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what i had hoped for Giving two stars only because it didn't match the need I had. I found Micro Windjammers by Rycote listed as an accessory for a point and shoot camera. When it came, the fur mic coverings were huge, much too big for 99 percent of all the mic openings on 99 percent of the point and shoots out there--especially including high-priced ones. These were meant for DSLR cameras. These would be great on DSLRs. There is another place to get wind blockers just for point and shoots. A company called Windcutter will work with you from actual measurements you make on your camera, and photos of the camera that you send. If it turns out wrong they will redesign. You'll still hear wind bumps but you'll hear the interview, too. It's impossible without some kind of wind covering to hear audio from nearly any camea. I suspect Rycote is the Cadillac of wind stoppers, but they are just too big for point and shoots. Should not be listed as a point and shoot accessory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For Vloggers that dont want external audio Works as advertised. I use it to clean up my pocket camera audio so I can sync easier. But truth be told, if you are recording external audio, this wont matter. This is best for VLOGGERS who either want to maintain a small footprint, or for those that are not hard core serious about audio, but want to have decent wind free (reduced) noise.
