The mic is built into the camera, this is just a dead cat that covers the small mic and keeps wind noises minimally very low.

It depends on the microphone placement on the camera. These are literally just a fuzzy whatsit with adhesive on the back. As long as there is a good clean spot on the camera to place it and the microphone port is small enough (smaller than the diameter of a pencil, for example) then it should work.
