Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy, if overpriced I bought a 82mm Tiffen ND filter for my 24-70 2.8L lens. I use this step up ring to use that same ND filter on my 70-200 2.8L lens. While overpriced, it does allow me to use the ND filter on both lenses without taking up much room in my gear bag. I did find this little guy a bit difficult to get on an off my UV filter that is (of course) permanently on my 70-200, but it did work with some effort. Good news: this step up ring can fit on top of a standard UV filter, though the lens hood will not go on with this step up ring attached.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product--Good Price I'm an aspiring amateur photographer who wanted to try long exposure. I have a trip planned to Portland, OR. I bought several Neutral Density filters to extend my exposure. I bought the 77-82MM step-up ring so I could stack filters on my 77mm lens and minimize Vignette. I used these filters last weekend at a local river with a water fall in my area (Michigan). I was able to easily get the desired effect after only a few tries. Great product and price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great I'm using this in order to use my variable ND filter on my 70-200. It works well. Its not silky smooth when putting it on and off, but it's definitely useable without me worrying that its tearing up the threads on the lens. This thing LOVES to get stuck to my variable ND though, so keep that in mind when you buy it. I just avoid it getting locked onto it by not cranking it down too hard. You should be fine!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sticky Threading I use this product with 82mm ND and Polo filters. To connect to a 77mm lens. The construction is solid. However the threading is not accurate and is hard to connect even when connecting to other Tiffen products. It takes several attempts to get the threading to a place that it will connect solidly to the lens. I'm hoping it's just a bit sticky and a little lite wear will make it easier to get on soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great im always skeptical about step up rings since some cheaper ones have been known to strip threads in lenses or get stuck, this one works fine i have had no problems with it yet and the build quality is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very useful I bought a polarizing filter for my lens Canon 16-35mm 2.8L, and was with the need to use the filter on other lenses with smaller gauge, so I purchase this adapter, and works very well
