    TRENDnet TEG-S24DG reviews

24-Port Gigabit GREENnet Ethernet Switch is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and easy to install I'm using this as the main switch in a home network, replacing a switch (different manufacturer) that died. As you'd expect with a non-managed switch, installation was simple, and everything is working fine after the first week. Although I haven't needed to use it, I appreciate the fact that this unit comes with a physical power on-off switch. The unit it replaces had no power switch, and to restart, I had to disconnect the power cord, then reconnect it. The fanless design of this unit makes it quieter than the one it replaces. I haven't noticed any problems with the fanless design; the case gets slightly warm to the touch, not hot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected, small, cheap, perfect It just fits in my 12x12x4 central wiring box. My house has 12 rooms x2 outlets of CAT5 wires, so this is perfect for gigabit in every room.I don't even have a patch panel - I just terminated the 24 cables with 8P8C plugs. No room or need for the complexity of a patch panel.Works fine for gigabit, even though I'm using CAT5 (rather than certified CAT5e) cables. Probably if the cables were longer than 100 feet or so it might have more problems.LED lights work fine, very helpful for diagnosing connections around the house during setup phaseIt was nice that the cheapest 24-port gigabit switch ($) was also the smallest and greenest. Anything larger would not have fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great 24-port 1gb switch, but only L2 Using it in my home network and lab environment. Having a single switch with this many interfaces is much nicer than having several smaller switches strung together. Have not had any issues with it so far. My only wishes was that it had some level of functionality for VLAN tagging, trunking, etc., but for what I'm using it for it will do the job. It also did not come with rack-mount equipment... which shouldn't have been much of an issue to include, but otherwise not a big deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Deal I upgraded my home network from 100mbs to 1000bps using this switch. This gave the entire network a big improvement, all of our computers can now talk to the server at 1Gbs. No lags noticed, great performance and speedy file transfers. Wish there was an option for the rack mount brackets, I put it on top of the 100mbs switch for now, but need those brackets since the switch is narrower then a standard rack mount switch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great switch, quiet and simple to set up Simple switch to set up, super quiet and smaller than the old 10/100 we replaced it with. The lights on the front panel show what ports are connected at 100 or 1000mbps for easy troubleshooting. If I need to replace any other hubs or 100Mb switches, this is the one I'm going with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great switch .....The switch is great. No fan, well made, very low power, and it only gets mildly warm when fully loaded. unlike my Trendnet PoE Ethernet switch - which is also very good the GREENnet switch has a built in power supply.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Close to Great Performs well as a switch - no complaints there. Easy to connect - worked as soon as the power was applied. I do not use this as a table-top - so lack of mounting brackets kept me from rating this 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I have read some review about lights not working, doa etc. My unit worked right out of the box no issues so far. Great product, great price.
