Vello Gla LCD Screen Protector Overview

The Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Nikon D7000 is a sheet of 0.02" (0.5mm) ultra-thin optical glass used to protect your camera's LCD monitor. The glass features 6 layers of protective material that protect your display screen from dirt, scratches, sweat and oily fingerprints. The glass also blocks UV rays while allowing visible light in. The protector is easy to install and remove.

Note:
Environments with excessive heat and humidity will shorten the useful life of the adhesive on the glass.

Ultra-thin 0.5 mm thick optical glass with six layers of protective material with 95% light transmission, and with an 8H hardness rating (130 g/cm absorptive power and 12 kg/cm bearable impact ratings).
Easy to Install
The screen mounts quickly and easily to your camera's LCD screen via its adhesive backing. Once it is properly aligned it is smoothed down with a clean cloth and you are ready to go.

Great company. The part I ordered (Canon 7D screen protector) was small but packaged and protected like a part that cost hundreds. I have dealt with B&H in the past and have never been disappointed.

I wanted to use this protector on a Kodak FZ-55 point and shoot camera. The camera has a 2.7 screen (as described by Kodak) and the protector states it is made for a 2.7 screen. Unfortunately, the Vello glass was a bit too large and would not fit directly over the screen. I used a Vello 3.0 protector on my Canon Elph 360 and it worked perfectly. It's really easy to install . Takes about one minute after you just wipe the totally clean with a microfiber cloth. No liquids, etc. It's really too bad that It was too big for the FZ-55. I would have rated it a 5 if it worked.

This vello screen protector have black edges? because if it is compatible with leica v-lux 3 The black frames do not show the whole screen and is a problem, I already bought one, is in the way and maybe doesn't fit right

This Vello has black edges. You might try this one; it does not have black edges and is clear to the ends. Kenko LCD Monitor Protection Film for the General 3 Screen Camera B&H # KECG3.0.

To remove the Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Canon EOS 7D, you would have to use a handheld hair dryer to heat up the adhesive on the screen protector. You would then be able to slide your fingernail between the screen and the screen protector, and use your fingernail to lift the screen off the camera.

The more expensive GSPU-ND5300 has been confirmed to work on the new D5500. Assume this model also works on the D5500?

I think that you can use it but it may not fit properly at the edges. D5500 is not better than 5300 so if you are planing to update, don't do it. Otherwise you can check it at a store. Now, the main problem is the touch screen. I think the 5500 has a touch screen so i cannot guarantee that the touch will work.
