Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector Overview

The Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Nikon D7000 is a sheet of 0.02" (0.5mm) ultra-thin optical glass used to protect your camera's LCD monitor. The glass features 6 layers of protective material that protect your display screen from dirt, scratches, sweat and oily fingerprints. The glass also blocks UV rays while allowing visible light in. The protector is easy to install and remove.

Note:
Environments with excessive heat and humidity will shorten the useful life of the adhesive on the glass.

Ultra-thin 0.5 mm thick optical glass with six layers of protective material with 95% light transmission, and with an 8H hardness rating (130 g/cm absorptive power and 12 kg/cm bearable impact ratings).
Easy to Install
The screen mounts quickly and easily to your camera's LCD screen via its adhesive backing. Once it is properly aligned it is smoothed down with a clean cloth and you are ready to go.

Nice screen protector but its not like a phone protector that mates directly to the glass. This has a frame that adheres around the edges of the LCD screen frame. Its clear and provides good protection BUT, it adds thickness to the LCD that prevents it from closing fully. Its not much , but it does stick out a bit. Still good protection and the added thickness does not interfere with normal operation.

I’ve had good experiences with Vello screen protectors in the past. This one was too large to fit the screen and too small to adhere only to the perimeter.

This vello screen protector have black edges? because if it is compatible with leica v-lux 3 The black frames do not show the whole screen and is a problem, I already bought one, is in the way and maybe doesn't fit right

To remove the Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Canon EOS 7D, you would have to use a handheld hair dryer to heat up the adhesive on the screen protector. You would then be able to slide your fingernail between the screen and the screen protector, and use your fingernail to lift the screen off the camera.

Not sure about the part#, but, did purchase a Vello glass screen protector, p/n #VESPGCT2i, for my T2i & SL1. Like the glass much better than the zagg, because if you don't lay it down correctly, you'll get air bubbles. I've had good luck with Vello products, including the battery grips!

The more expensive GSPU-ND5300 has been confirmed to work on the new D5500. Assume this model also works on the D5500?

I think that you can use it but it may not fit properly at the edges. D5500 is not better than 5300 so if you are planing to update, don't do it. Otherwise you can check it at a store. Now, the main problem is the touch screen. I think the 5500 has a touch screen so i cannot guarantee that the touch will work.
