The black 10x42 Outland X Binocular from Celestron features multicoated optics, BAK4 Roof Prisms, a wide angle of view, and weather-proof construction with rubber armoring. While the multicoated lenses increase transmission and image brightness, the Roof Prisms made of BAK4 optical glass preserve true colors. The wide 5.6° angular field of view allows you to see a linear field of 293' at a distance of 1000 yards, and the center focus with a diopter allow seeing crisp details as close as 14.8'. The binocular also has a 56-74 mm interpupillary adjustment range, a 4.2 mm exit pupil and 14 mm eye relief.

In addition to optical performance features, the Outlander X presents a number of convenience and construction highlights. The binocular housing is nitrogen-purged water and fogproof, with a smooth black rubberized armoring to ensure a non-slip grip. For easy focusing, there is a large knurled center focus knob and a ribbed diopter ring on the right eyepiece. To accommodate anyone with glasses, the eyepieces have twist-up eyecups. If you want to attach the binocular to a tripod, use the threaded hole under the front center cup with an optional adapter.

Also included with the binocular are a soft neoprene carry pouch, a strap, and protective objective lens cups.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outland X 10x42 Binoculars Great Value I use these binoculars mostly for birdwatching, and the clarity is superb. They are lightweight which is important for birdwatching, and the rubber coating provides excellent grip. I know the optical quality isn't the same as the high end brands, but for the money, these binoculars can't be beat. I highly recommend them for anyone on a budget.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them I bought these binoculars for watching wild life. I love the feel of them. They are comfortable to hold and easy to adjust and for me they are lightweight compared to my last pair. While looking through them the image you are looking at is crystal clear. I love the case and the cleaning tool that came with it. I did buy the 3 year extended warranty just in case I drop them. I can not wait to use them on my vacation out west in a couple more months. Great product at a great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value These binoculars are worth every penny. Clear, sharp optics, comfortable, not overly heavy. Somewhat more compact than others in this price range. Focusing knob is a bit sensitive, but otherwise have provided excellent performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value These are a nice size, medium. Not the pocket size but a little larger and come in a nice storage bag. They have removable rubber covers on all four lenses and come with a flat but thin neck strap. They are a nice medium distance lenses with good clarity and light, great for bird watching. A great all around value for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Binoculars I bought these before our 2 week trip to South Dakota and Wyoming. I love them. I am so impressed with how easy they are to use and how clear and up close the images are. We had fun with them on the trip. The weight is not bad either - I carried them in my backpack or around my neck with little problem. These are keepers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the non-professional This model is the same size, shape and magnification as a Nikon model that a coworker owns and putting them side by side it is hard to tell the difference. So for the casual user it is a great buy for the price
