Black Widow Thin Plate is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly Some might say it is expensive for a tiny plate of metal, but it is very well designed, and solid. I have been using it for more than a year now, and I am totally pleased with the result. With this plate, my camera (Canon 60D) lean sideways against my upper thigh with the lens facing backward which takes it out of the way and protects it from direct hit while working in crowded spaces or walking through doorways, stairways, along buildings... Also, it makes your gear very discreet. I found out that people usually don't even realize you were a camera. Quick out, quick in. I have used this plate with a Canon 60D and these lenses: Canon 70-300mm is, Tokina 11-16mm, Sigma 30mm, canon 50mm, Jupiter 9 85mm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have bought this with the holster I've been using the spider holster for some time. I forgot to order this plate when I purchased the holster. Great addition, makes tripod mounting easy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GOT TRASH FOR MY MONEY! :( The bolt was faulty, there was something with the thread, and I had to force it onto the pin. Now it's stuck and I can't get it off! Ruined the pin, I have to buy a new one, and I don't even have another bolt, neither have a clue where can I get one just for this piece o' junk! I GOT TRASH FOR MY MONEY! :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works with Manfrotto heads Both this and the sturdier Spider Pro plate work with my Manfrotto quick-release plates. Really nice to go from the hip to a tripod without any hassle. This is fine for a small to medium size camera and lens, but would recommend to err to the safe side with the Spider ProSystem for full-frame camera and larger zoom lenses, like the 70-200.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Second review AFTER getting the right parts. I had to buy another pin, because the one that came with the kit was faulty. I was pretty mad about it. :( Now that I've got the components (new pin, nut and washer that cost me EXTRA), I had the opportunity to try it out. Well, it doesn't really fit on my mirrorless camera as I hoped it would because the body is much thinner than a DSLR, but still, if you want to combine the comfort of the Holster with your quick-release plate, this will do the trick. For bigger, heavier cameras get the much thicker version of this plate that goes with the Black Widow Holster's PRO version, since this plate was NOT designed for such cameras with heavy lenses and setup. Oh, and the last thing: It will NOT work with the VariZoom Stealthy Camera Support system, which has a very wide, large, proprietary quick-release base. This plate would get in the way making it impossible to re-attach the VariZoom plate into its own base. But that is a design flaw by VariZoom! For all standard quick-release solutions this plate should be OK!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job Very lightweight but $15 for a tiny piece of metal seems expensive. You Tube videos need to be updated as the plate shown must be an old version.
