I am using a TZe-335 tape, will not print in black?
I believe this model prints WHITE ink on BLACK tape. There are many other combinations. If you want to print BLACK ink, then you have to find either a WHITE TAPE or a CLEAR TAPE.

Sounds like you inserted the tape incorrectly, have a bad print head, or got a bad tape. Do other tapes work correctly in your machine?
