  • 1Description

Holga 400 from Foma is a panchromatic black and white negative film with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27°. Its wide exposure latitude, fine grain structure, and traditional contrast profile pair well with the surrealistic image quality produced by the Holga or other toy cameras.

Foma Holga 400 reviews

Holga 400 Black and White Negative Film (120 Roll Film) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great film for even pro medium format I was recently given a roll from a friend and ran it through my Bronica SQ-Ai. Expecting sub-par results from a film intended for toy cameras, instead I was blown away by the rich contrast and range. Slightly grainier than than HP5 but very pleasing to look at.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality 120 film at a good price. The Holga film appers to be very simalar to FOMA 400 in a differn package, yet is sells for slightly less than the Foma brand. the film is slightly slower (1/3 stop) than a true 400 speed in some circumstances. and has a traditional Grain pattern. I have had no issues using it in several 120 cameras.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, Cheap 120 Film made by Foma :) Great, repackaged, Foma 400 film. Works great in D76 1:2 or 1:3, HC110 dilution H and FA-1027 (Clayton F76+ 1:14). Has pretty good tonal separation. Don't be scared of the blue film base, it's easy to print through. I shoot this at box speed and at EI 200 depending on my needs and developer used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from indeed great film I'm very impressed with this film. On the Holga it was definitely better than any Ilford I've tried. Sharp and contrasty. It seems to get also good exposures all the times...I really love what I see. Will be my to go B&W.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Brownies! I used this film in a Brownie Flash Six-20 (after I rerolled it onto a 620 spool) and it worked really well. The photos came out nice and clear and some of them look really awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't underestimate the little guy Love this film. At first developing my film I was a little freaked because the film itself was blue and I am used to the Kodak B&W 120 film being purple but once I realized that is how it was suppose to be everything was fine. I scanned my negatives in digitally and edited them through photoshop I was very pleased with the end result!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit Just like advertised, the film makes great holga prints and cheap price like the camera. Great for experimenting!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Student work and experimentation. Works good and can be developed with regular B&W chemicals. Very affordable for students as well.
