The Elinchrom D-Lite4 is an entry-level 400 watt/second monolight with a five f/stop power adjustment range. The power levels are clearly visible in digital readouts on the rear of the unit. It is lightweight, accepts a common household bulb as a modeling light, and recycles in 0.8 seconds at full power.
The D-Lite is also available as a 200 watt/second unit, known as the D-Lite2. The D-Lite Series monolights are also available in two light kits, which include reflectors, stands, softboxes and cases.
This monolight is multi-voltage. Simply change the modeling light, and use a plug adapter.
Flash duration is 1/800 second
Power adjustment is in 1/10 stop increments, from 400, down to 25 watt/seconds.
The modeling light may be adjusted from full, to half power, to off, or tracking with flash power selected.
