Easyrig Minimax Overview

Designed for the DSLR/mirrorless shooter, the Easyrig Minimax STABIL Light Support System is great for removing bounce from walking or running while helping you shoot for extended periods without fatigue. The STABIL light is based on the Easyrig STABIL, though engineered for smaller payloads, and it helps reduce vertical vibration and movement as you track your subjects. The system includes the Easyrig Vest and STABIL Light.

This upgraded Minimax model features a redesigned spring system to accommodate the STABIL Light, which results in smoother support rope movement specifically designed for the 4.4 to 15.4 lb payload range. You can adjust the tension of the STABIL Light flexible support arm to match the weight of your rig, and you can also lock the support arm so it behaves like the original Minmax arm. A quick release system attaches your camera of choice to the arm, and an included carrying bag makes transport a breeze.

Compatibility
You can use this with gimbal/camera systems weighing between 4.4 to 15.4 lb
Adjustment
You can adjust the spring tension in the STABIL Light arm to tune it to match your gimbal/camera setup; if you want to eliminate the vibration compensation, you can lock the arm

Saved my injured back

I hurt my back last year and was incapacitated for 2 months...while going back to work, I found myself in so much pain even when lifting a basic camera+lens of 1.5kg...before I was easily working all day long with 6-8kg rigs, these allowed me to get back in the field and keep doing what I love. Thank you easyrig for creating this affordable gear! I should have got this way sooner and maybe not hurt my back. Just make sure you tighten the lower belt more than the chest. Thats how i found to make the weight shift way below my lower back!

One of the best investments you will make.

I feel like I could type a novel about the importance about the importance of being nice to your back as an operator, but I'll keep it short. Operating over long periods of time can be terrible for your body and you should try to do everything you can to minimize wear on your shoulder and back. I know this from painful experiences over 15 years of being an operator with scoliosis. This is, without question, the best option available. I have tried literally every piece of gear available, and then way to STABIL reduces the load while in increasing stability is unmatched. I've been using the standard MiniMax for years with varying results, and I've always found that after hours of hand held, it causes strain to your middle and upper back from the constant motion of pulling your upper back forward. The STABIL removes that sensation almost completely. Buy it. Make your friends buy it. Buy one for your mom for her birthday. It's worth every penny and more.

can this hold the ursa G2 with small 5" monitor on the rs3 pro or will that exceed the weight capacity?capacity?
Asked by: Timeless
This would depend on the weight of your monitor and the total combined load of the whole rig. The Easyrig Minimax STABIL Light Support System with Quick Release Hook can support up to 15.4 lb. The Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 Digital Cinema Camera (B&H # BLURSAMPG2) weighs 5.1 lb and the DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal Stabilizer (B&H # DJRS3P) weighs 2.5 lb, so the vest could still support around an additional 7 lb of weight.

The Easyrig Minimax has a load capacity between 4.4 to 15.4 pounds. This is perfect for a DSLR Rig which is in that range. A rig will be necessary as you will need a top handle over the DSLR to use with the Minimax. For further assistance feel free to email us directly at [email protected].

If you have to jump in a car to film, can you keep the EasyRig on you?
Asked by: Laura
The Easyrig Minimax with Quick Release would not work well inside vehicles. I'm sure it would need to be removed and stored first. However if there is a sunroof you could stand in. Or used a Pickup truck bed to stand in, either of these locations would provide sufficient room.

I ordered this Easyrig. It is very handy. But now I need a Stabilizer. I am consider the DJI Ronin SC 2. My camera is the Panasonic Lumix GH5s with a Smallrig cage. Can I attach this camera with the cage to the Ronin SC 2 so that I can attach the quick release ball studs?
Asked by: Ali
If you are asking about the compatibility of the quick release system of this stabilizer with that of the DJI Ronin RSC 2, they employ different quick release systems which are, unfortunately, not compatible.
