The SB-29S, a versatile macro Speedlight for the Nikon system, is both sophisticated and durable. It can be attached to the front of lenses with 52, 62 & 72mm filter threads(as well as smaller sizes in conjunction with a stepup ring), or used on top of the camera like a tradtional shoe-mounted flash unit.
NOTE- The following Nikon lenses will experience vignetting when combined with the SB-29S installed on the front of the lens: 20mm f/2.8D, 28mm f/1.4D, 24-50mm f/3.3-4.5D (at short focal lengths), 24-120mm f/3/5-5.6D (up to 50mm), 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5D (at 28mm) 28-85mm f/3.5-4.5 (at 28mm), 28-100mm f/3.5-5.6G (at 28mm), 28-105 f/3.5-4.5D (up to 35mm), 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6D (up to 50mm) & 35-70 f/2.8D (at 35mm).
