B&H was the only one that offered this limited size I needed for an older projector lens. They even offered free shipping for such a small cost! Shipping was fast too! Thank You B&H Photo!

I immediately replace all manufacturer lens covers with this model/brand. I just buy two with each new lens and then toss the original factory cover in the box for storage. These are inexpensive so no big deal at all if you lose one. However, the biggest advantage to using these across all of my camera systems is consistency. It does not matter which camera/lens I grab all of the caps come off the same way. No fumbling, built in muscle memory for every single lens. I can't describe how many times that has been an advantage for me in the field or on assignment.

need lens cap for d3300?
Asked by: Anonymous
The lens cap is specific to the being used not the camera body. If you are using the 18-55mm kit lens that came with the camera, then you would instead want the 52mm size.

How thick is this lens cap? I ask because i'm a new astrophotographer, and use a thin Haida light pollution filter. My stock (Nikon) lens cap won't fit flush on the filter and leaves a small gap between the lens and the cap, messing up my "dark frames". Is this cap thin enough to fit flush onto a thin filter?
Asked by: Gary
The part of the cap that will clip into the filter is 3.5mm thick.
