Really Cool Gadget
For the price this cannot be beat! I get almost 1:1 but not quite with my 50mm and about 2:1 with my 28mm. Meaning that the object is about 2x larger on the sensor than it is in real life with my 28mm lens. The depth of field is really quite small and you will need to push your ISO or use a tripod which will push your technique. Once you start playing with this it is addictive! The only con is that occasionally I don't screw it on to the lens tight enough and it stays on the camera as the lens screws off. This makes removing the ring a bit of a pain.

Affordable way to do Maco Photography
I love that this is such an affordable way to get into Macro Photography. I am interested in maco but like many starting out in photography I have limited funds. This is a very affordable way to try it out. I have a Pentax K20D. This works on the camera. The one drawback is everything has to be done manually, including focusing. Another thing is with my 18-55mm wide angle lens I have to hold the aperture open by holding down the piece at the end of the lens with my finger. If it don't I can't see through the view finder and the photos all come out black. This is way I give it a 4 star instead of a 5; because I have to trick my lens. But again it's a great affordable way to try out macro. If I decide I really like it then I'll invest in a good lens; till then... this works for me! :)

It does what it is meant to do. It mounts perfectly in my K-30 Pentax camera and to the front of my lenses allowing me to reverse and use them for macro photography, without spending a lot of money in expensive macro lenses. Just great!

Love my Purchase
I bought this adapter for the purpose of learning and working with Reverse Lens Photography. This adapter works as I expected it to perform, my problem is getting used to this type of focusing, a learning lesson on my part.
