This is a Short Double Female Stud for Super Clamps with 1/4"-20 & 3/8"-16 Threads from Impact. It is a double-ended 5/8" diameter brass stud that has a 1/4"-20 female thread on one side and a 3/8"-16 female thread on the other. It can be used directly with a Super Clamp, or to extend an existing threaded stud.

It would be too short. Reuben is right that you'd need the double hex version.

What size hex wrench would be needed for tightening these studs? Note that I realize I can use an adjustable wrench, but being made of brass, I prefer to use a standard combination wrench to perform tightening.
The hex shape isn't for using a wrench on. The hex allows the stud to fit into the Super clamp & prevent twisting. If you over tighten these stud parts, the threads tear off. You'll quickly ruin your stud parts this way. I hand tighten only. If you need more resistance get a male to male stud that works with the Super clamp and tighten the collar of your accessory on to the male spigot (not relying on the threads at the ends).
