This 10x High-Definition II Professional Macro Conversion Lens from Opteka mounts to the front of lenses featuring a 62mm filter ring diameter, and offers a 10x magnification to produce a narrower field of view with closer focusing capabilities. Designed for macro-like shooting with nearly any lens, this add-on lens features a four element construction made from high refractive index, low dispersion water white optical glass for maintained image quality. A hard antireflective coating has also been applied to the glass elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast and a clarity.

Does the 62mm size work OK with a 55mm lens and a 55-to-62mm step-up adapter, or is it better to just get the 55mm size?
It probably will work, however, it is much better to use a 55mm 10X so there's no extra space between the lens and the 10X.
