This is another high quality product by Bracket 1.� The machining is perfect, resulting in a great fit of the nuts on the threaded post.� Does not bind, no slop in the threads and stays tight once you tighten it!� If you're going to mount something heavy (this high strength piece can take the weight) make sure you mount it in a solid shoe on your camera.� Some of the camera shoes that are mounted on the plastic part of the camera can work their way loose if you put a heavy load on them.� They have other accessory brackets available for heavier accessories and this Threaded Adapter will work with them too.

Is this thing stainless steel or steel/aluminum?I have one similar, with stainless 1/4 -20 insert, but plate and knobs are aluminum. I need stainless for salt water use.If not this one, is there another?
