Hot Shoe to 1/4"-20 Male Post Adapter is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 211.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for avoiding use of the Pocketwizard Flext TT5 shoe I use this product as a cold shoe for my Pocketwizard FlexTT5 transceivers. The Pocketwizard Hotshot break easily when light stands are knocked over. After replacing the hot shoe (3 times @ $20 ea.) I decided to try this as an alternative. Works great for those windy days. The Good: - Perfect cold shoe with a nice fit - the locking disc are extremely helpful keeping the strobe/transceiver connected to the nightstand or bracket. The No So Good: - The screw post is a bit long, preventing me from keeping this attached when using my PocketWizard on camera (it interferes with the camera body buttons)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job As a photojournalist, I needed this to fit my Tascam Dr 100 Mk II on my 5D Mk II for video applications in the field. This does the job just fine - it doesn't cost much either. It is well made - small, light. It would be improved if there were some rubber grin on the top - I have to twist it quite hard for the Tascam not to move around much and it can be a little fiddly to tighten it correctly so that the Tascam (or any other device) points in the exact direction you want it to (as opposed to a few degrees either left or right of the front). This is why it gets 4 stars. Certainly worth the minuscule investment and it is well made.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It Does the Job...Dangerously Revo has come up with a dandy design at a very agreeable price point. The metal construction is smooth and the two adjusters thread on the stud like butter in Satan's mouth. The only issue I had was that the stud is too long (which should never be an issue in other aspects of life). As a result, the peripheral attatched to the top of the adapter can bend the stud if it's too heavy. I use this to support a monitor atop my 5D Mark III and there's about 3/4 of stud just holding everything up. There needs to be a longer nut of some sort to support the stud between the two adjusters. Now things are just getting dirty. I would recommend shopping around for a more stable option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy connector I use a monitor on my Canon 5D iii. The monitor came with a cheap ball head that causes the monitor to wobble. I met a colleage who was using one of these as an alternative. It gave a much more solid connection with no shake on the attached monitor. Downsides? you need to be careful attaching anything other than a flash to a hotshoe mount. They're really built to hold a flash, so treat it carefully. Although the monitor doesn't wobble using this connector, that's another reason to be extra careful with it. Certainly don't lift the camera by the monitor or anything like that. Sounds obvious I know. I'm sure it will have many other uses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap and handy! As other reviewers have noted, do not use this tiny accessory for any seriously load bearing task. But other than that one (hopefully obvious) caveat, this is a great, versatile accessory to keep in one's bag. Specifically, I was finding situations where I would have liked to have mounted my small ZOOM audio recorder to the top of a camera being used to shoot video. This makes that attachment a piece of cake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right. I purchased this to mount my Zoom H6 to my Nikon D90. I chose it over the Zoom HS-1 due to a number of reviews claiming interface problems with Nikons, and this was half the price anyway. The fit to both units is perfect, the knurled disks act as jam nuts to allow good alignment with the sound source and a snug fit by hand-tightening. It fits well in the H6 case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You don't know how much you need some of these lying around These are cool. They are cheap and simple to use, but work amazingly. For starters, these open up huge possibilities for adding stuff on to DSLRs and C series canon cameras, or really any other cameras for that matter. If you have a DSLR and want to mount a ZOOM recorder, throw this in the hot shoe and screw the ZOOM into the quarter 20 hole and viola! Or a light. Or or or... you get the picture. Heck, you could mount another camera on top of a camera with this, maybe you want to throw a VR camera on top of your rig for a cool behind the scene shot, who knows? but seriously, these things are awesome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GoPro Usage I mainly attach my GoPro using the TriPod adapter to it on top of my T4i. It's light, feels solid this far. I might take it a bit further and put my T4i on it and hot shoe it to a production camera and see how it feels. The only two things I have found so far negative on it is that I wish it had a grip rubber that way when I attach my GoPro, it grips to the locking screws for a tighter hold. Its been easily lost, well misplaced, a few times accounting its size is smaller than a ring. It's great thus far, I plan on buying a few more to have as spares or if I happen to lose it.
