Helping to prevent zoom creep, the red Lens Band from LENSband is a simple silicone rubber band specifically designed to stop unwanted lens movement from occurring. Sized to fit most DSLR zoom lenses, this band will stretch over zoom rings ranging in diameter from 67 to 110mm in order to prevent the lens from moving under its own weight when angled upward or downward. When not in use, the band can be stored over your lens and can also be used to provide increased grip for removing jammed or stuck filters on the front of your lens.

This band is designed to fit most DSLR lenses with zoom rings ranging in diameter from 67 to 110mm.
Made from silicone rubber, the band offers a secure, snug fit on the lens to prevent unwanted zoom creep.
For use, the band should be secured partly over the zoom ring and partly over a non-rotating portion of the lens in order to secure the desired position.
Band can also be used to help remove jammed or stuck filters on the front of the lens.

Lens Band (Red) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 167.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Useful, but not as useful as I hoped When I originally saw this I thought it worked by being wrapped around the lens barrel, and because it was elastic, it would place tension on the barrel and that would keep the lemns creep at bay. Doesn't work that way. IT DOES STOP LENS CREEP. Yes. but it works by first sliding it onto the zoom band of the lens, then when you are not taking a shot, you slip half of it down onto another part of the lens, such as the part when the focus switch is, or the focus band is, so the elestic band is grabbing the zoom band and something else at the same time, so it can't creep. You also cannot use the zoom when the band is in place. So it's kind of useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The C R E E P is GONE... I use this on my EF 24-105mm lens, after using the lens for nearly a year the zoom started to creep as I had the lens on a neck strap. I didn't think it was a big deal until I was trying to take a photo of a string of Christmas lights, shooting straight up the side of a building in manual focus using live view on my 70D. That's when I decided to look into a solution to c r e e p y lens. This product WORKS. I was worried about it fitting my lens...no problem. I have it around the zoom ring and just pull a small section of the band off to the side of the lens barrel, and I can still zoom in and out without ANY c r e e p.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Also protects your VR switches Although its pretty easy to compare the Lens Band to typical $1 awareness bracelets, the Lens Band is much thicker and stronger. In the past I've used a Lens Band to tame creeping on a Nikkor 18-200 and it works great. Now a days, I shoot a good deal with a Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 with the lens hanging from a BlackRapid strap (another great item). However, carrying that way, the switches on the lens can bump against your leg. Every once in a while the focus limiter switch (FULL inf-5m) will get knocked into the 5m position and I only notice when I have a dog running at me and I miss the shot. So.... I thought this might me a great application for a lens band. Sure enough, the Lens band wraps over the switches on the big 70-200, and the problem is solved. When I do need to turn the VR on/off, just roll the edge of the Lens band to expose the switches.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too tight on larger diameter lenses Bought this for my Nikkor 28-300mm which has severe lens creep. Specs for the Lensband say Fits lenses with a 2.6-4.3 / 67-110 mm-diameter zoom ring. The 28-300 has 82 mm (about 3-1/4) zoom ring diameter and the Lensband is very tight. It does stop the creep when positioned right, but shifting the band each time the zoom has to be adjusted is just not practical because of the tight fit. I may use it as an added protection or to help removing stuck filters. To stop the creep I will try ordinary rubber bands or just use the lock switch. IMO not worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect!! but..... i like the material. is hard to extend.I have a sigma 28-105, even that I didnt buy this to avoid lens creep (the sigma don't suffer of lens creep), i bought it just to protect the lens and has something around the lens in case I put it in the floor. the description said that this is for 67 to 110mm. My lens is an 82mm filter lens and the band is REALLY tight.. so i am not sure if i recommend it for a lens over 90mm's... I could be wrong.. but it is just my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lens Band (Red) by LENSband This product is great for addressing lens creep. But I mainly use this lens band to address a defect on my Nikon 18-200mm lens. Recently, I found that my fingers were getting stained by the black rubber ring (don't know the technical name for this) that covers the focus ring on my lens. Then, the rubber ring began to lift off from the focus ring (the glue was coming undone). So, I purchased this lens band and placed it over the focus ring on the lens (over the rubber ring) and, now, my fingers don't get stained and I have a firm grip of the focus ring! Using the lens is a joy again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works! I was about to buy Gaffer tape to stop my 18-200 from creeking, but then I saw this lens band and thought what an ingenious way to use these silly rubber bands that people wear. Well, I'm happy to report that it works great and is easy to use. I'm also jealous of whoever came up with the alternate use of this very simple rubber band and kuddos for being able to getting people to pay $ for a rubber band that probably doesn't cost more than 5 cents to make. Enjoy your house at the beach!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too involved Although the lens band does work, it involves some clumsy maneuvering to get it into place. Changing it as you zoom is certainly cumbersome. I'm using it on the new Nikkor 24-120 f4 zoom, and although there is an occasional minor creeping problem, it's an issue I can easily live with. I'm not sure the lens band is really worth the effort.
