- Prevents Lost Lens Cap
Don't lose any more lens caps--the Sensei Cap Keeper Lens Cap Holder keeps your lens cap close at hand. One end of the holder has an elastic band which attaches securely around the lens barrel, and the other end fastens to the lens cap via the adhesive-backed disc. The cap remains tethered while shooting and is easily retrieved when finished.

question
what Lens Cap is this compatible with?
Nearly every lens cap that has a flat surface for the adhesive to attach, which is to say, most of them. I purchased this for my Olympus OMD e-5 and it does just what I need it to do: keeps me from losing the lens cap :-) You'll need to keep an eye on the black elastic; over time it stretches out, but this can be fixed with a stitch or 2 to adjust it to the size of the lens you're using.

question
What is the difference between this and the plus version?
This was actually answered by another customer if you check the reviews: I've been buying these for forty years. I was surprised to find 2 grades of Sensei Cap Keepers listed at B&H. I went for broke and ordered both. Cap Keeper Plus uses a heavier grade of elastic, a heavier cable, and it has a neat, plastic connector where cable and elastic join. The plebian grade joins eleastic to cablewith a metal staple, just as secure, no rough edges, but a bit raw. Also, the Plus version has a smaller S on the button that affixes it to the lens cap.As to effectiveness, in 40 years I've never had one that stayed stuck with the supplied adhesive. After the first lost lens cap, good epoxy holds it tight.CONCLUSION: Plus costs $1 more. I don't think it works any better, but if you're fussy about such stuff, perhaps it's worth the $1. For me, having satisfied my curiosity, I'll save future bucks.
