The Letus35 MCS Complete for Canon 1D X and 1D Mark IV with Zacuto EVF Mount contains every part of the Master Cinema Series needed to construct any of the 4 MCS bundles. In addition to having the flexibility to construct these pre-determined bundles, you can also modify and further customize any existing setup to your liking. Having all of the pieces available adds a great deal of versatility to your camera rig, and provides the ultimate ability to have the ideal kit for any given shoot.
The 1D X/1D Mark IV Cage, from which everything else attaches to, is CNC milled aluminum and hard anodized for durability. The cage design incorporates numerous 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 sockets across the entire cage for a large variety of accessory mounting options.
A follow focus is included, providing you with a highly accurate, ergonomic solution for pulling focus. The Letus follow focus is entirely custom built to precise specifications and features CNC milled anodized aluminum and stainless steel components. The gearbox is reversible and allows you to mount the system to either side of the lens or to have the focus wheel rotate in either direction depending on your preference for pulling focus. The mounting bracket is compatible with 15mm rods and features a quick release for simple attachment and removal without having to break down your kit.
The matte box features a lightweight, clamp-on design that supports a variety of easily interchangeable lens clamps as well as a rail mount for attachment to 15mm support rods. Up to 3x 4 x 5.65" / 101.6 x 143.5mm filter trays can be used at a time or 2 at an angle, as well as a 138mm circular polarizer. This matte box also integrates an ARF (anti-reflection tray) into the design to prevent light reflecting back onto subjects when shooting backlit scenes. A French flag, side flag, and flag eyebrows are also included to help you further control the light entering your lens.
The EVF knuckle is compatible with the Zacuto EVF and helps to mimic the feeling of a proper viewfinder, as with the use of a 35mm camera. The EVF is easily mounted to a quick release plate, providing simple attachment and removal from the entire knuckle. Precision alignment is possible with the use of an adjustable fluid drag pivot point, allowing tension adjustment as well as forward, backward, side-to-side, and up and down tilting movements.
Working in close collaboration with the EVF knuckle, the eyepiece leveler permits the EVF to remain relatively level while tilting the camera up and down when it is mounted to a tripod. The leveler attaches to the knuckle via the quick release bracket and allows you to obtain the best position for the EVF during use. The leveler is connected to the tripod using a base bracket that is threaded for the included O'Connor tripod head.
The V-mount baseplate acts as the foundation for the entire platform and serves as the connection between the camera and any other mount. It is machined from high grade aluminum and stainless steel that is hard anodized for even greater durability. The unique V-mount design permits a quick, intuitive system for mounting and integrates a safety pin to prevent accidental disengaging of the plate.
Also included are 2 MCS Camera Interface Plates. The camera interface plate attaches to the bottom of the camera and is the mounting platform for attaching your camera to the quick release base of the cage. Both the short and standard plates are included, providing you with support for a rear stabilizer and also the option to create a more compact kit. They are also machined from high grade aluminum and anodized for additional strength.
Other accessories included with the complete bundle are a dove tail, a quick release clamp, a clamp to rod adapter, a rail to hot shoe adapter, 2 top/back handles, 2 T-Handles and clamps, a pair of T-Handle hybrid rods, 2x 18" / 45.7cm stainless steel base rods, 2x 12" / 30.5cm stainless steel base rods, a pair of 9" / 22.9cm black rods, a rear stabilizer, 2 Anton Bauer compatible plates, a standard counter weight, a shoulder pad, a padded long weight, and a backpack. These pieces work together in establishing a strong camera rig system that provides a multitude of mounting options for accessories and other tools.
