Most non-Sony batteries I tried in my DCR-DVD92 do not work as they are not Sony brand. Will this battery work?

I had the same problem with another non Sony battery that I bought, but this one works good in my Sony DCR-HC28. I was able to charge it and it works good. have not used it much, but the other battery I bought would not even charge, said it had to have an info lithium battery.
