Lowepro 250 overview

  • 1Description

The mica Lowepro Event Messenger 250 Shoulder Bag is a lightweight yet durable messenger-style bag that holds a DSLR, laptop computer, and accessories. It can hold a DSLR with an attached lens and 3-4 extra lenses up to a 70-200mm f/2.8, or a flash with three lenses, accessories and personal items.

The bag features a padded compartment to hold up to a 13" laptop. It also has an easily accessible main compartment, adjustable dividers, a front flap, as well as an additional zippered closure for the main compartment. The interior is customizable using adjustable touch fastened dividers.

The Dual-Mode Flap system consists of touch fasteners that can be used to close the bag without using the snap coupler. The fasteners can fold back so that when you open the bag, it will not make the ripping sound that hook-and-loop touch fasteners are known for. The front zippered accessory compartment contains pockets for pens, memory cards and your phone. The bag is carried by an adjustable shoulder strap or its top grab handle for quick access retrieval. It's made from a combination of a nylon polyurethane exterior and polyester, tricot, foam interior.

Event Messenger 250 Shoulder Bag (Mica) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 93.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good for event photographors It can carry 1 flash, 1 DSLR body, and 2 lenses. and the 2 lenses could be pro level lens, my 24-70 2.8 lens usually stays on my Nikon D810, and this bag can carry them, I don't have to remove the lens from the body, and I can also bring a 70-200 2.8 lens or other pro level large lens, I love the size, amazingly fits for my gears. I personally don't like to remove the 24-70 2.8 lens from my DSLR body, cuz for event photography, some important moments gone when you're installing your lens. That's why I love the deep design of this bag, when I arrive the event, I can immediately start my work, dont have to waste time to setup my lens.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice bag, very poor strap. In theory this is a nice bag for photojournalism. DSLR with standard zoom, strobe / flash, some cables and the laptop. The deal breaker is that the strap is really prone to twisting up. It is ribbed along its length and it seems impossible to keep it flat and straight. More over the strap pad is not removable, so it can not be centered if the strap is made shorter. If you can get over these issues it is a nice back with nice padding, nice way to organize stuff. But my Apple Macbook Air 13 fits lengthwise, but without any extra padding or case. The pockets on the side are nice, yet it could have more pockets. The strap did it for me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bag Great bag for what I needed. Camera bag with room for my T3I and accessories, macbook pro 13 and a few extras. I love the site of it, not gigantic, and not super cramped. I also wanted a bit of incognito, so the shape and size is really similar to a normal, yet overstuffed messenger bag. Some may demand a little more room to use this more like a briefcase, as the back pocket is a little small for carrying much more than a standard pamphlet. But for what I use it for, carrying my mac and camera in one bag for insight editing and such, with some basic sketches and scripts on the pamphlet, it's great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Provides More Structure For Your Gear I wanted a camera + laptop bag, and this rectangular, structured bag fits the bill. The sides and movable interior partitions (2 large, 3 small) are hard-foam filled to maintain the interior space. Two small sides pockets, one large rear pocket, a zippered front pocket (2 pouches & pen slot inside that) provide miscellaneous gear space. Even the top flap is stiff to provide structure (close with Velcro or a plastic closure), and it has side gussets to provide moisture protection. The bag hangs closer to your hip because it's rectangular. Access to photo gear is a little more limited because you must stack lenses if you have many.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lens with a great camera attached to it. The 600mm equivalent reach of the Zeiss lens is the best feature of this camera. It's good for travel photography and filmmaking because the integrated lens is sealed and won't allow any dust and dirt onto your image sensor. That is a distinct advantage for me, as I plan to use it to shoot the Total Solar Eclipse in August of 2017, and dust on the sensor is VERY noticeable when shooting footage of the sky. The High Frame Rate shooting is a close 2nd as my favorite feature, allowing shots up to 960 fps in NTSC mode. The image resolution is less sharp at the highest HFR speeds, but it's not that noticeable in most circumstances. The camera is relatively large and heavy for a point and shoot- it's more like a full size DSLR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One bag for my camera AND my laptop! I originally purchased the Event Messenger 150, hoping it would be enough to hold my 11 Macbook Air, but it just couldn't quite do it. I moved up to this model, and it's all the space I need with lots of wiggle room. I just used this on a trip for the first time, and it worked perfectly. I have a Sony A65. I carried it attached to my Tamron 18-200mm lens, had plenty of room for my 18-55mm kit lens, my 50mm standard prime lens, a bevy of smaller accessories and batteries, my 11 Air, and still had a large compartment that went unused where I could safely keep my sunglasses and other things like that. It really was a perfect bag for everything I needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent choice This is holding: Canon 50d with 24-105L attached, Canon 70-200/2.8, Sigma 20/1.8, Canon 50/1.4, and 1.4TC.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good bag It's a pretty decent shoulder bag. There's enough room for a small set up. In mine I carry a Canon 7D mkii, canon 70-200 f2.8, 50mm f1.8, external flash, MacBook Pro and charger. The bag does a great job of keeping everything secure and there isn't anything hanging off of it that can get caught easily. One feature I really enjoy is that the shoulder strap has a grip that actually functions as intended. You can easy carry the bag over one shoulder without worrying about it falling.
