LensCoat LCLPMWSN overview

  • 1Description

The Realtree AP Snow LensCoat LensPouch, in medium wide, is a soft neoprene pouch designed to store, carry, and protect a lens, tripod ball head, or other incidental camera equipment during travel and transport. The pouch includes a removable reinforced front element protection disc for the lens. An easy pull cord closure allows for fast and easy access.

There is a convenient 1" belt loop that allows connecting the pouch to a belt or belt system. It also includes a heavy-duty snap hood to clip onto a belt, jacket, or camera bag. The pouch flattens and compacts when empty, for easy storage. This version comes in white and is covered with a subtle pattern of leaves and branches to help camouflage the lens when shooting outdoors.

    LensCoat LCLPMWSN reviews

LensPouch (Medium Wide, Realtree AP Snow) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for protecting your lenses I bought this to keep my lenses from touching each other in my camera bag. Nikon 28-300 - fits - just barely. It will go over the top of the rear lens cap but leaves some of the back of the cap exposed. You can't draw the strings completely. Nikon 24-70 - yes, but the lens is longer so the sides and the back of the rear lens cap will protrude a little. It is wide enough to accomodate the lens with the lens hood on in the reverse position. Nikon 14-24 - almost like the 28-300 but is a little taller. It fits width wise fine, but the rear face and a few millimeters of the sides of the rear lens cap are slighlty exposed. It works perfectly fine for my needs, but if you need it to cover one of the above lenses entirely you need to get a longer one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for many uses I purchased this pouch to protect my Panasonic FZ18 while in my purse. I wanted to carry my camera with me all the time. The camera fits in this handy little pouch perfectly and is protected from all the other stuff in my bag and the accessories (extra battery, memory, filters are stored in a separate pocket. The pull string has a plastic lock that keeps the bag closed tight & there is a clip to secure it to the inside of my purse. This pouch is perfect for what I needed it for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is it I ordered this to protect a Canon 17-40 f/4 L lens. It works perfect, caps on, hood mounted in reverse slides right in front eliment first and the draw string pulls and keeps the opening closed to about a 1/2 diameter over the rear cap, just what I as looking for. Quality is first cabin, stitch is perfect. I'm thinking of ordering one to replace the stock Canon pouch that came with my Canon 70-300 L lens just because I believe the LensCoat pouch is better protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Lens Protection I am using this LensPouch to store my 16-35mm ED VR Wide Angle Zoom Lens. I am opting to leave the big camera bag at home and am using these lens pouches for a couple of lenses to bring on vacation and I am going to use my backpack. The LensPouch will provide enough protection inside the bag. While not as secure as a padded camera bag, I am opting for a lighter, more versatile kit while traveling and I think this will be a great option to carrying a heavy camera bag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wrong dimensions given This is the medium wide lens pouch. The product description says the dimensions are 3.2" wide by 6.0" long. That's wrong; those are the dimensions of the small pouch. This one measures about 4.3" wide by 6.5" long. It's a good pouch, but it doesn't come anywhere near fitting my lens, so it's useless to me. Not worth sending it back; it will go into the trash. (B&H: if you change the description, feel free to delete this review.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent, didn't expect much I bought this for the Canon 24-70. Both the new and old models fit fine. I didn't realize the new one came with a pouch from Canon. This one feels a little thicker compared to the suede-like cloth one from Canon which concentrates most of its protective properties at the filter end of the lens, whereas the LensCoat offers more padding along the barrel of the lens.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Padding not thick enough I bought this to test its suitability for carrying lenses in an ordinary backpack. Photo backpacks with dividers waste space. If one put lenses in a protective neoprene cover one could carry more lenses in backpack that had no dividers than one that had dividers. For this purpose, the LensCoat pouch appears inadequate. The neoprene is not thick enough. It might be great for other purposes, but not that one. Other reviews I've read take the opposite view. My advice is to buy one, try it, and form your own opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my new Zeiss Otus 85 The Zeiss Otus 85 does not come with a lens pouch. Fortunately, this one fits perfectly. I put it over the lens when it is attached to the camera and in my soft bag to prevent the usual scuffs. It also has a belt loop so it should work well to hold the Zeiss or any similar sized lens.
