The Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic is an 80mm f/2.8-22 flat field optic with an adjustable 12-blade aperture. This optic is specifically designed to be used in conjunction with a Lensbaby lens body to give you a slice of sharp focus, surrounded by soft blur. The size of the in-focus region varies depending on the aperture and the location of it can be modified by the degree and direction of tilt. The selective focus effect produced is especially desirable for close-up photography, as this lens can focus as close as 17" / 43.2cm when fully extended.

Do you have to buy a separate part for this to be compatible with a canon camera? Like some type of mount?
It actually attaches to LensBaby Lens Bodies, not other LensBaby Lenses, as Heather described. I think we all know what she meant, but just in case and to prevent any confusion. You do need to own a LensBaby Lens Body like the Composer, Composer Pro, Scout, Control Freak, or any other one in order to make the Edge50 work with your Nikon.

Does this work on nikon d5200?
Yes,it will work on a Nikon DSLR with a Nikon mount lens assembly. If the D5200 is an APS-C crop sensor camera, it will provide an equivalent to a 120mm lens on a full frame camera. Manual focus only, manual aperture control, no electronics.

Yes, the Edge 80 Optic is compatible with your Sony A5000 camera but you will need a Composer Pro II (or other Lensbaby lens body) to install it in first.
