Rock your field trip, lab, or classroom with the PentaView 5.0MP Cordless Digital Microscope from Celestron. This full-size digital microscope is built around its 5.0MP digital CMOS sensor, capable of capturing high-resolution color images and videos at 30 frames per second. You can view them on the built-in 4.3" color LCD TFT display and relay to an external monitor or a recording device. To make saving your findings and observations a seamless experience, the LCD module offers an easy-to-use control panel, a 32GB microSD memory slot, and a mini-USB data port. To provide vivid and crisp images, the opto-mechanics feature a 4-position nosepiece with five achromatic objectives (4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, and 60x), a top and bottom LED illumination system with adjustable brightness, a 0.65 NA condenser lens, and a 6-position filter/diaphragm wheel. The included 60x objective comes detached and can be easily installed instead of another objective.You are also empowered by the generous focusing range to ensure that no details will be left unseen. In addition to digital output, this scope features an AV video-out port.

Can I use only the Achromatic lenses without the 10x magnification thereby doubling the useful magnification?
The 10X power is a process of the display and the LCD screen, it cannot be changed.

Does this take SDXC cards? Or just SD? What is the largest (in GB) it will accept?
The PentaView 5.0 LCD Digital Microscope accepts SD and SDHC memory cards up to 32 GB. A 4 GB SD card is included with the microscope.

Where is the Celestron digital microscope made? We need equipment made in the U.S.
I believe that it came from China. I returned the scope because it did not suit our needs, otherwise there were no problems with it. However. unfortunately like so many things the source is China
